scrap the whole itinerary and go up North and drive the Dolomite mountain road in the above mentioned rental car.... go take the ski lifts up into the mountains and go hiking all daty... order food in the many refugios if you happen to go through Asolo make ... Tourist info centers in the towns are actually very good and help you book hotel/b&b where ever you end up that day if you do end up in the North for a Dolomite experience let me know and I can give you some tips ...
